welcome to Eureka California's, class of 1956 Web site!
In 1999 Rich Ames suggested the
class of 1956 should have presence on the World Wide Web
and that's where the idea for this site came from. I
(Millard Hiner) have been programming in HTML for many
years and took on the task for fun and I enjoy dinking
on it.
I originally set
the site up on a free server (Yahoo's Geocities) and
that worked for a while but soon after the 2001 reunion
the data transfer rates started to exceed the free
service and Geocities would shut the site down part of
each day. So I've transferred the site to commercial
servers and the following classmates have contributed
financial aid. Just
click on the “PayPal Donate” link below to use a credit
card to help us keep ehs1956.com online.
That’s
where you come in. If you like what you are getting on
the ‘56er’s web, if you want more of it, and if you
believe that ehs1956.com is providing a vital service,
please give us a hand and contribute to the site. A
donation of just $10 or $25 will prove immensely helpful
towards enabling us pay the operating expenses.
Be
assured: Unlike other websites that hemorrhage money,
ehs1956.com has always gotten a fantastic bang for the
buck. You’ll find no frilly offices, no massive expense

staff masseurs (oh, maybe a massage now and then).
